The Working Hour

These things that I've been told Can rearrange My world, my doubt, in time But inside out This is the working hour We are paid by those who learn by our mistakes This is the working hour We are paid by those who learn by our mistakes This day and age for all And not for one All lies and secrets, put on Put on and on This is the working hour We are paid by those who learn by our mistakes This is the working hour We are paid by those who learn by our mistakes Fear is such a vicious thing It wraps me up in chains Find out, find out, what this fear is about Find out, find out, what this fear is about Find out, find out, what this fear is about

about

when i was a kid i thought music from the 80's was lame, and Tears For Fears was among the lamest. it's only because of the commercials for 80's compilations they played on TV that made them look so corny to me

now, Tears For Fears is the biggest non-Jamaican influence on Wise Owl music. let be known, i think these guys are geniuses

so why didn't i do Everybody Wants To Rule The World? why not Shout or Mad World? well, maybe i will. but i wanted to do this song first because in my opinion, it's the heart of Songs From The Big Chair. it's the most unique, the most striking, and it feels and sounds like everything these guys wanted to say all in one song.

and besides all that, i just like it and i've always wanted to play it!

so here it is, one of my favorite songs of all time, in a reggae style at last
